A Message from Mr Salisbury
Our Pet Day & Gala is just around the corner! A huge thank you goes out to Julia and the HSC team for the incredible work behind the scenes to make it a special day for our students and families.
This year’s fundraising goal is to reduce the cost of our 2026 Term 1 Camps. These camps are a treasured part of the Harrisville School journey, offering learning, teamwork, and independence. Thanks to the HSC’s commitment, we aim to reduce the cost of the camps for our families.
To make the Gala a success, we’ll need the support of our wider school community. Thank you to all of the businees and familes who have already supported us. Every bit of help whether big or small makes a difference. When volunteer opportunities open, please consider putting your hand up to assist. We are so grateful to the HSC for the dedication and countless hours already being invested behind the scenes.
Running alongside the Gala is our beloved School Pet Day a highlight of the year and an important part of our school culture. Pet Day involves weeks of preparation, from raising and caring for animals to creating classroom art displays.
A very special thanks to Julia Thompson and our teachers, whose hard work makes Pet Day possible year after year. Julia in particular plays a pivotal role in organising lambs and chickens, supporting families with her expertise, managing the lamb crèche, coordinating judges, preparing certificates, and even taking charge of this year’s Group Day here at Harrisville School. Her dedication, knowledge, and passion are at the heart of keeping this wonderful tradition alive.
Finally, I’d like to thank all of our teachers and families for their support throughout what has been a very busy term. Our students have enjoyed so many opportunities to learn, grow, and shine thanks to your efforts. I wish you all a safe and enjoyable term break, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 6th October for the start of Term 4.
