We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable term break. Term 3 is shaping up to be a busy and exciting one, with plenty of great learning opportunities and events planned for our students.

A warm welcome to all the new students and their whānau who have joined us over the past week. You’ve come to a great school, and we’re thrilled to have you as part of our community. A big thank you thank you to Barbara Wilson for her wonderful work teaching in Room 7 while Veni was on sabbatical. Her dedication, and hard work have made a real difference for the students we truly appreciate everything you’ve done. Thank you also to Nicole Niezen for her hard work stepping into the leadership role during this time.
3 WAY LEARNING CONFERENCES
Thank you to all who came to our 3-Way Learning Conferences at the end of last term. If you were unable to attend, please book in to see your child's teacher over the next couple of weeks. At Harrisville School, family participation in your child's learning is strongly encouraged. Research tells us that positive parental involvement has a huge effect on raising student achievement. Students learn best when home and school work together. We value the support you give your children at home and with trips and activities. Your continued involvement and support is what enables us to run exciting events.
COMMUNICATION
Communication with you is essential, so it is important that we have your correct contact details and are aware of the best way to get in contact with you. If your contact details have changed, or if there have been any recent updates to your child’s health, allergies, medication, or learning needs, please let us know as soon as possible. This ensures we can provide the best care and support for your child throughout the school day. Please also check our website, read our newsletter, Hero and Facebook pages which are updated regularly. Our website is a great place to find out what is happening at Harrisville School.
