Learning Partnership

Learning Partnership

At Harrisville School, parent participation in your child's learning is strongly encouraged. Research tells us that positive parental involvement has a significant effect on raising student achievement. Students learn best when their home and school work together.

Communication with you is essential. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us to celebrate your child’s achievements, talk about your child’s learning or if you have any concerns, you would like to discuss. Our doors are always open, and we enjoy talking with you.

Please also check your child’s bag for school notices and visit our school websites and Facebook pages regularly.

Parents have many skills and expertise that can greatly enhance the quality of our teaching programmes. Teachers will regularly request parent support to supervise and work with groups of children in the classroom or on trips, camps, sports events, etc. Any assistance you can give us is much appreciated and often critical to the success of such activities.

Most importantly, let’s show your children that we are working together as a team, in helping each other to support them. For ideas on how to help your child with their learning make an appointment with your child's teacher or follow the link below.
